Cambridge University Coronavirus vaccine is well underway but they need more funding. The primary responsibility of government is protecting its citizens. The Government should stop all unnecessary spending on projects not directly contributing to its primary responsibility (e.g. HS2) and plough the money into vaccine research immediately. Vaccines are an exportable commodity and the UK can be a world leader. This action would have immediate impact is helping limit the UK spread of Covid-19, as well as future diseases, and boost our economy and international reputation.
