I am now a 28 year old autistic man who is verbal.

Others are not.

The fact they are nonverbal is not an indication of stupidity, inferiority or lack of 'communication.'

Communication is holistic concept and 'talking' is a single and conventional form of this concept.

I feel obliged to represent autistic people as, having found poetry to be my most prominent communication tool, I am empowered to help others find, validate and sustain other autistic people's tools with which they can shape our society and make meaningful contributions to it.

We need to have the entire spectrum of humanity represented and utilised in our culture.
