Maria Onyegbule started this petition to UK Government, Boris Johnson MP (House of Commons/parliament House) and

Nnamdi Kanu is a UK Citizen who is being held in Nigeria. The British government must give assistance to the separatist leader who was recently “intercepted” abroad and taken to Nigeria to face trial. It is very clear that this was an abduction of a man traveling with a British Passport, taken against his will, not in the UK or Nigeria but in Kenya. This is already a violation on an international scale. He was forcibly taken to Nigeria. This is an act that constitutes as, unlawful for a British citizen. It also undermines the sovereignty of the British Government.

Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently being held by Nigeria’s secret police the DSS, has only recently had access to his lawyer's. The British representative who is supposed to visit Nnamdi Kanu has not done so. The UK government are not supporting their UK citizen? He still needs to be seen by doctors. This is still an ongoing troubling situation. Checking his health or representing him legally is his right as with choosing his own legal team, and the support of the British Goverment is his right as a UK citizen.

The abduction and torcher was and is a criminal act, against Mr. Nnamdi Kanu's human rights. Those that are guilty should be brought to justice. The International Bill of Human Rights of the united nations, to advance fundamental freedoms and to protect the basic human rights of all people, should be adhered to in this particular case. So why is the UK goverment not protecting Mr. Nnamdi Kanu? Why is he being detained by a Nigerian Goverment that has acted like terrorists? How can the Nigerian Goverment hold Mr.Kanu in detention and subject him to a trial, when they themselves have acted with such criminal conduct? The Nigerian Goverment, and President Buhari, and those in Kenya involved in this Abduction must be brought to trial.

I am asking everyone to please sign this petition to show leaders that the people will not stand for this injustice. If we do not stand up, this type of injustice will continue, we can not let this happen.

I am asking Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the British Goverment to help Mr.Nnamdi Kanu a UK citizen, who has been unjustly treated. To bring those that orchestrated this abduction to justice. And more importantly, Nnamdi Kanu must be set free and returned to the UK...alive and well.

The British Goverment must demand that his doctors be allowed access to him continually while in detention. To assess his health, body, and mind and to give him any treatment he may require.

Saturday 7th August 2021

The DSS secret police of Nigeria who is holding Nnamdi Kanu in detention, are now abiding by the law and visitation order of the Court. Nnamdi Kanu's lawyers and family members are visiting him on regular basis. But his own doctors have not been given permission to see him and examine him. Nnamdi Kanu's human rights must be upheld and his medical team must be allowed access to him, this is not a request this is his human right.

Boris Johnson PM must not continue to remain silent, ignoring everything that is happening. Action needs to be taken right now.

Nnamdi Kanu must be returned to the UK this extraordinary rendition should not have happened and is a crime. The Nigerian government has no right to hold him and he should be released. Boris Johnson PM must speak up and not remain silent. He must demand that Nnamdi Kanu be returned to his family in the UK.

Please join me by signing this petition. Let's show the leaders that the people have spoken.

Human Rights are being ignored in Nigeria, there is a genocide happening and the world leaders must take notice now.
