Parent/Child Parking Bays MISUSE

Parent/Child Parking Bays MISUSE
If you are a parent to children upto the age of 12, you’ll know the struggle of getting them in and out of the car in a regular space.
As a mum of a toddler, I have witnessed drivers in high end cars with no children, people with empty car seats and parents with teenagers misusing these spaces. Now it’s time to treat these spaces like a disabled bay, and if you don’t qualify for them then you do not use them.
Generally, you can use a parent and child parking bay if you have a child with you that’s under 12 or in a car seat or booster seat. This is unless any signage says otherwise.
This needs to be taken seriously as the amount of parent child bays allocated to a car park are already scarce. Fines need to be issued, because if you have a small child then they will be coming out of the car with you.
