Michelle Danskin started this petition to UK Government

No parent should ever have to bury their child in any way.  Especially not as a result of them thinking they have nothing left to live for, leading to them taking their own life.

In Scotland alone, the suicide rate among young people aged 15-24 increased by over 50% - majority being male.  This is the highest it has been since 2007.

The aim with this petition is to ask for change.  I am hoping to get enough people to support this petition by sparing 2 minutes to sign, and ask that children are taught a mandatory class about mental health from 1st year at secondary school.

The outcome of this would be to teach kids that mental health is just as important as physical health.  And I strongly believe that by being informed on mental health issues from a young age, and teaching them to recognise signs in themselves and others; this would see these unnecessary suicide rates drop.

All kids deserve the chance to live their life, please help them by signing this petition.

Thank you.
