Make gender- free uniforms mandatory in UK schools
British schools, including primary and secondary, currently have a uniform policy that does not represent all pupils. I am asking to allow all children, girls and boys, to adhere to a gender free school uniform that allows them to choose if they wish to wear uniform trousers, uniform skirts, or uniform dresses. This will set pupils free to express their identity while respecting the school uniform standards. Both boys and girls should be able to wear any of the uniform items without feeling oppressed or obliged in any ways and a gender free uniform will also respect families of any background, culturally, morally, or religiously. By feeling free to express their identity, pupils will be happier in the school settings and could potentially perform better. Making a gender free uniform mandatory at school will also protect vulnerable groups of children, such as those with disability, the LGBT community, and those children with gender dysphoria. This way, schools will be more inclusive without impacting traditional families.
