Reading today that  'Alesha MacPhail killer has sentence cut by three years' today has sickened me. I urge the UK Government along with the Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish government to reform the law to force people who are found guilty of murder to serve  atleast 30 years in jail. The criminal justice system is soft on young people committing serious crimes and this needs to be reformed.  The reason that this killer has had his sentence cut is because 'the term was excessive in light of his age'. The criminal justice system needs to take into consideration that the needs of the victim over the criminal should always come first. Younger criminals who commit terrible crimes should not be treated lenient because of their age. 

This petition wants justice for little Alesha who had her young life taken away by a monster. 

Why should a young murderer have their sentence cut because of their age? Victims do not have the same privilege! Let's show politicians that we, the people, do not believe in cutting the prison sentences of murderers!
