As cases of Covid-19 are rising in Secondary schools across the UK, and students are not following the guidelines on social distancing and staying within their bubbles, many students are being refused the right to be able to protect themselves in the classroom by wearing a mask, and even being removed from classes when they try to make a stand.

These young people are under a number of mental health stresses at this time and this is an added unnecessary worry.

I do not believe the wearing of face masks in the classroom will negatively affect teaching as is stated in the current advice, young people should be able to make this important health care decision for themselves based on their own personal risk assessment.
