Sandra Cowell started this petition to UK Government

The late Captain Sir Tom Moore is now a national hero, which is great. But his greatest heroes were the NHS workers. His extraordinary effort was made in order to save and reward his beloved National Health Service. He loved them so much that he raised £33 million. He did that because he remembered the day before the creation of the NHS when his family had to pay for the doctor to come and visit them. Boris Johnson applauded his legacy and called him a "great Englishman", and has in the past thanked the NHS for saving his own life. Yet in this sense he has betrayed his wishes. On January 19th of this year, this Government voted down an amendment to a bill that sought to protect the NHS from any sell-offs in future trade deals. So please sign this petition in order to commit the UK Government to honour Sir Tom's wishes and keep the NHS protected from private business interests and free at the point of service.
