In the wake of the Corona Virus pandemic and the probability of workplace closures, staff are already being asked to sign new contracts containing lay-off or temporary redundancy clauses which state that workers will not be paid if they have to be sent home. This will cause significant hardship for many people, impacting on health, housing and social stability.  To prevent suffering, this petition asks the Government to guarantee adequate financial support to those affected by lay-off clauses.
