Establish a cross-party negotiating team for Brexit
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
Given that no party won a majority in the election, we believe that a cross-party team should negotiate the terms of the UK's exit from the European Union, if this to go ahead.
Around half of us voted to remain, including myself, and around half voted leave. People who voted to leave may want different outcomes from Brexit. We don't have a party in power that represents the majority of voters, or which has a majority of seats in parliament. Therefore no single party can represent the whole country in Brexit negotiations.
Only a cross-party team would have a mandate to do this, leading to a more consenusal, better result for the country.
