I am head of preschool in an early years setting and feel that children would not have enough time with their key person, adults would be constantly stressed and lack of supervision may mean more accidents or incidents taking place in early years settings

Because any research at all anywhere shows the better than the ratio of adults to children the better the results. Let's face it that's a huge argument for private education.. If we want a world class education system we need to increase ratios of adults in childcare not decrease them. I say this as a parent and a teacher.

As a teaching assistant myself and working with SEN children, I know what a difference we make to the teachers and children.

I think it is ridiculous for childminders to care for more children and think they care for too many at present. Would those who wrote the report please produce a you tube video, a news slot or TV programme showing me the standard of care that would be given if child care ratio was increased, especially in inner city London. Cost of living goes up not down.

I have worked in childcare for 25 years, we've spent as long improving Standards of Care and the Safeguarding of our Children, for this to be destroyed by politicians, who show no regard to the Standards we have worked as tirelessly to achieve.

Teacher who has also worked as a child carer. Numbers are just right at the moment increasing would mean severe impacts of safety, quality of care and enjoyment of relationships for both carers and children.

Work in childcare and a mother myself and feel like these new proposed ratios are ridiculous!

My son is 16mths old and I feel that the current ratio is more than enough for one carer to take care of three toddlers effectively. Please do not increase this ratio!
