This should not require 17 years to yet be at this level of stagnation. While the perpetrators of this inhuman violation are memorialised throughout the country surely those who bled to build this nation deserve to be remembered too. It's a disrespect to their descendants and sends that discriminatory message that black bodies are to be used like fodder and nothing more. This petition should not be necessary if there was a shred of conscience in the heart of this nation and its leaders.
