Tim Casterton started this petition to UK Government and

The new Covid19 restrictions do not permit licensed premises to sell 'off-sales' during the 4 week lock down for the month of November. They do permit supermarkets to sell alcohol for consumption off the premises though. This unfairly hits the already struggling pubs and bars in the UK. This restriction needs to be urgently reviewed and lifted by the Government.

Since being permitted to reopen, the greater majority of pubs and bars have bent over backwards to full comply with the latest Covid19 regulations - social distancing, face masks when not seated, table service, 'rule of 6', 2 meter distancing, order by phone app, pay by contactless payments, hand sanitisers etc. They should be congratulated by the Government for the huge efforts they have made, including closing by 10pm - not given a 'kick in the teeth'!

Please add your name and support this life line to our English pubs and bars.
