UIUC Alumni Against Divestment

On March 7-8, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign students will be voting on a divestment referendum that targets Israel and alienates Jewish students on campus. The referendum calls for the university to divest from a wide range of companies that do business with Israel. UIUC Divest and Students for Justice in Palestine are backing the referendum in support of the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanction (BDS) movement.
Just last year UIUC students overwhelmingly rejected a similar referendum. Now, UIUC Divest is once again threatening students’ scholarships, internships, and future job opportunities by destroying valuable partnerships with employers and alumni. As concerned alumni of UIUC, we urge UIUC students to vote NO to UIUC Divest.
