Reinstate UGA Police Officer Jay Park and expunge negative personnel record for insubordination.

I'm signing because, as a law school graduate and soon-to-be lawyer, the UGAPD's treatment of (former) Officer Park for making an honest attempt to follow and understand Georgia's recently passed amnesty law makes me sick. The law was put in place by the democratically elected members of Georgia's legislature for a reason and it was meant to be carried by Georgia's law enforcement officers, without question. To fire Park for his honest attempt to do so was wrongful, unlawful, and goes against the purpose for which the UGAPD exists: to keep the students of the University of Georgia safe. Park should be reinstated immediately and the UGAPD should be punished for its actions.
