Ban Chechnyan soccer teams from European competition until LGBT+ rights are guaranteed

Chechnya's President Ramzan Kadyrov has publicly threatened to "eliminate" all LGBT+ people by the end of May 2017.
100 gay men are being tortured in a modern-day concentration camp in the territory, and at least three have been executed.
When questioned about these shocking human rights violations, Kadyrov's spokesman has said "You cannot detain and persecute people who simply do not exist in the republic."
FK Terek, the soccer team of Chechnya's capital Grozny, is on the verge of qualifying for the 2017-18 Europa League soccer tournament, run by UEFA, starting in July.
We call upon UEFA's president Aleksander Čeferin to ban FK Terek Grozny from all Europe-wide competitions effective immediately, in light of the clear and acute danger posed to travelling players and fans in Chechnya, and to make it clear to Chechnya's government that their persecution of LGBT+ people will not go unnoticed by the wider world.
