On behalf of the UCSD community, Greeks Gone Green proposes an idea to establish an arboretum on our campus.
A garden devoted to trees will contribute to the sustainability goals and ideals of the University and it will also save the campus money as well as provide plants, compost, mulch, and many other resources in an exciting way.
If you are looking to ease your mind after a taxing midterm or take graduation pictures with a beautiful background, the arboretum will give you that and so much more!
UCSD Sustainability Department has been planning on an arboretum for 20 years. The past three years, a plan was proposed but denied due to lack of student support. Student body support is the most crucial part of making this change.
We are the only UC campus without an arboretum. Let’s change that.
