As an alumnus of UCSC I am saddened to see the school being managed by racist and classist operatives on a mission to suppress the voices of those working to better the conditions of the impoverished.

As a UCSC alumni, I ask that the UCSC administration to drop the disciplinary actions against Carlos Cruz. I was deeply disappointed in UCSC's actions against graduate student workers in 2019 and 2020. I mention UCSC's treatment of its graduate student workers to any propectiive students

The “original authority on questioning authority” should really do a little better at concealing their nefarious ways.. Carlos’s principled actions for justice should be lauded, not punished.

Carlos is an amazing organizer, educator, and friend. The UC doesn’t deserve him. Drop the charges!

As a UCSC Alumnus (Merrill '78) I find it outrageous that the university has gone forward with these actions!

UC should stand as an example of the racial equity it claims to support. Stop the hypocrisy.

A Ph.D student, seriously? You’ll take disciplinary action against someone who has poured thousands and thousands of dollars into your institution and is achieving the highest honor of academic excellence? Why? Because they’re exercising their guaranteed right of free speech? Because they are thinking critically like they should? Because they have applied the knowledge they’ve gained through your own instruction? Drop all charges immediately, there is no middle ground. Carlos deserves freedom and his earned degree.
