UCSC is not offering enough classes remotely for students who are not comfortable to be fully in person. Students are choosing classes that are not necessarily needed for their major simply because it’s the only remote options for this quarter. Every class should offer an option to remotely learn especially with the rising Covid cases and new Covid varients. Student employment should also have the option to remotely work unless it is absolutely necessary to be in person. The transition to in person activities is happening too quickly and should still remain somewhat remote or be given hybrid options. In particular, students who do not live on campus should have a choice to not travel to campus where thousands of students reside and higher risk of the spread of Covid. 

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION to give UCSC students & student employees the option to choose be remote for class and employment. We are being forced back into full in person activities and MANY people are not comfortable with this. This petition will be sent to administration and the Chancellor.
