The city of Isla Vista and UCSB campus have extremely limited parking options for students. In IV, it is nearly impossible to find a parking spot unless there are spots at your residence. Housing is also so expensive so there are often only 3 or 4 spots for a house containing 16 students. Along with this, the campus of UCSB has limited parking options that only exist in the in remote locations of campus. This makes it difficult for students going straight from work to school to make it into class on time. 

In order to solve this problem, I propose a large parking structure in Isla Vista that the residents can use. This would create a lot of new space for students living around it, which would in turn, increase the amount of street parking for other residents. UCSB continuously increases the amount of people admitted every year, and we must accommodate for the growing number of people on and around campus.
