I use this trail every day to walk my dog, in the summer to bike, and it’s just a beautiful trail.

The Prescott Russell trail is essential to the Ottawa valley and Prescott Russell communities as a means of location, transportation and recreation.

I use the trail daily to walk the dog, bike rides on weekends etc. It is something to do in our arrear. Allows us to get out of the house which is even more important with lock down.

I am baffled at this decision. The trail is well used by local residents and also by those in Ottawa, for which the link to Anderson Road was finally opened. No, it has not been much of an economic driver because the only communities the trail goes through are Hammond, Bourget and St Eugene, and Hammond has no grocery store, for example, to patronize. But having ridden many rail trails over the years, this is a gem -- covers a long distance, is in good shape, and allows a range of journeys. The KATY trail in Missouri is a similar treasure to this trail, although much longer, the longest rail trail in North America.

We use the trails and it would be just awful if these would not be used.
