As a collective, we find the treatment of former Executive Director Lacey Rogers appalling and not affirmation of the mission and values of UCM. Like all of us, Rogers has put her time and energy in this very organization that has been central to our time here at Ohio University and Athens. To listen to how Rogers was treated-micromanaged, placed on a contract, and given a heavier workload while being paid less than her predecessors-is unjust and we are greatly disappointed.

This is not the first time the organization has been called out: a letter in August was posted in the Athens News before another letter followed up. Answers were demanded about the firing of Lacey Rogers, yet UCM continued without providing answers. We are calling on you to help.
