UCLA has been among many UCs who have decided to remain online until the end of January for the beginning of the winter quarter due to the Omicron surge. While this is a step in the right direction in order to keep students, faculty, and families safe we must also think about the financial impact on students who have already paid for things like housing and parking permits, who will not be on campus for January. UCLA needs to refund and/or discount fees for January immediately. This is money that can help all of us stay safe during the surge by buying food, masks, etc. 

There is absolutely no reason we should be getting charged if we are not on campus for January!
