Petition for gender inclusive bathroom accessibility at UCLA Law

Do you know where the gender inclusive bathrooms are in the law school?

Neither did we. In fact, we found that typically very few people know where these restrooms are— hidden away on the fourth floor of the library, the basement, and by the Emmett Institute.

Gender inclusive bathrooms are essential for creating a welcoming atmosphere for all students, especially trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming students whose needs are often ignored.

We request that (1) the administration transition at least one bathroom on the first floor to be a gender inclusive bathroom and (2) place placards near the gendered restrooms indicating where the gender inclusive restrooms are located on the law school campus.
