University of Chicago Housing has decided to withhold from our RAs their stipend for the spring quarter. Many of the RAs need this stipend to afford tuition and the University's decision has negatively impacted their opportunity to continue their education. Our RAs are integral to house life; they are our greatest support group and have committed a significant portion of their college career to ensure that their residents have the best Housing experience. They make us study breaks, set up house events, and are a tremendous source of advice and friendship. Additionally, even though most students will be off-campus for the upcoming quarter, the RAs will still be working diligently for their residents. Our RAs deserve better, they deserve the respect they have earned.
