Siege is a game I've been playing since day one. I've been here through every change and patch and bug and op operator, so believe me when I say I love the game.
Recently there was news that siege developers Ubisoft were going to be censoring the game for everyone in their player base to appeal to a single market.
Maybe it is because I'm an American citizen, but censorship is something that genuinely eats at me. Why should mine or anyone else's experience in a game be overhauled to suit the needs of people who are honestly going to bring an influx of cheaters and exploits into the games player base.
The Asian market is a huge market and could potentially be a huge win for Ubisoft but I promise you, as we've seen with the most recent example of PUBG (Player Uknowns Battlegrounds) that releasing the game to that market had their player base explode yes, but it also made their player base in other countries outside of the Asian market die off because of the massive influx of cheaters and ping abusers into other servers.
Without a proper region lock. Ubisoft will kill off their game with censorship for a market infested with cheaters, please keep the game good for your veterans and please don't ruin the experience of players for this one market. I promise it won't be worth it.
