The recurring incidents of losing Uber/Bolt drivers to poorly profiled riders is not only alarming but pathetic. Unlike drivers whose details are well tracked with biometric databases, pictures, email addresses and telephone numbers, Uber/Bolt are doing same with their riders. At many occasions, we have had riders who registered names like scorpion, Bugatti, dagger, etc with Uber/Bolt without any check. The worst of these is the deliberate motive for concealing their identities in order to perform their intentional crimes. For this cause, we have had drivers cars snatched and leaving same drivers badly wounded, some were killed and others kidnapped. We should not forget the case of Muyiwa a medical doctor who thought it industrious to make e-hailing business a side hustle only for his life to be taken by heartless criminals who snatched his car and dumped his remains on a bridge in Abule egba, Lagos. If not for the tracker by which his fiancée traced the car location until the culprits were apprehend, Muyiwa would have joined the countless number of drivers who died without justice. For this cause, I want you to strengthen this petition by your financial support or by sharing on various social media platforms so as to encourage the hustling youths for whom the government provided no jobs.
