Welcome Syrian Asylum Seekers into the United States

In March 2011, civil war erupted in Syria. Since then, millions of civilians have been displaced from their homes, and thousands have been killed in the bloody crossfire between terrorist groups, rebel forces, and the oppressive regime of Bashar Al Assad.
The U.S. has assisted in war efforts in Syria, however, we have not provided significant humanitarian aid, and there have been recent efforts to close our borders to Syrian refugees. As we have the largest the military in the world, as well as space, infrastructure, and wealth, we have the tools with which to help these people, without having any significant effect on the wellbeing of our citizens. This petition is aimed at pressuring the U.S. Government into increasing the amount of refugees admitted and expanding aid programs.
