Require Federal Government to buy Flags 100% Made in America

What's Happening: Two senators – a Democrat and a Republican – are sponsoring a bill that would require the federal government to buy American Flags made in America with 100 percent American materials. US. Sens. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and Susan Collins, R-Maine, introduced the legislation, dubbed the All-American Flag Act on June 25, 2019.

Background: Currently, the federal government is only required to buy flags made from 50 percent American materials. Brown and Collins' Flag act was originally approved in the U.S. Senate in 2011 and 2014 but was previously stalled in the House of Representatives. The House has already passed the bill this year and it’s now up to the Senate to send the proposal to President Donald Trump’s desk.

Why it matters: As it currently stands, American tax dollars are being used to finance jobs overseas to create our country's most sacred symbol: the American Flag. This is simply unacceptable.

Sign The Petition: Given the name of our brand, Tag The Flag, and the bipartisan nature of the bill, we want to make sure the proposal ends up on the President's desk and becomes law. We need 100,000 petition signatures in order to show public support for the bill and make sure that it does not fall through the cracks as it has done in the past. Please sign the petition to show your support for American Jobs and The American Flag.
