The equal rights amendment was drafted in 1972 but is yet to be ratified. Let's change that!

The ERA guarantees legal rights and protection to all American citizens no matter the gender. This is crucial because the Constitution never states that women have equal rights to men. The equal rights amendment would outlaw any governmental actions that treated women unfairly or differently than men.

The ERA was never put into place because not all 50 states ratified the ERA (or the needed three-fourths) making the ratification deadline impossible. But the deadline has been lifted (by a vote from the House) giving states that have not ratified the equal rights amendement the opportunity to do so!

We need our US. Senate and representatives to take action on the ERA before it is too late. Join me, in demanding our senators and governmental officials recognize gender inequality and support the ERA!
