We ask the U.S. House of Representatives to pass the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (M.O.R.E) Act of 2021. This bill is a substantial effort to reform today's cannabis laws and bring them up to date.

The M.O.R.E. Act of 2021 can better the economy by using tax money from cannabis sales to fund programs that provide resources for communities most affected by the war on drugs. This bill can also focus on prison reform as expungement policies will end the stigma and lost opportunities effected by those with past, low offense cannabis convictions. It will seal records of people convicted of marijuana offenses at no cost. Lastly, it will decriminalize marijuana on a federal level. The protection of black/brown people is essential as they are a significant target when found with cannabis, and quickly to be arrested and charged.

Cannabis reform has overwhelming support among Americans. Voters across the country were more for this bill to be passed than not. Now, cannabis is legal for medical use in 36 states and recreational use in 15 states and Washington, D.C.
