- For too long going to the BMV has been a massive inconveniance.. most of us work during the week during business hours and the hours the BMV is open is so few it's a disgrace. We all work 8 hour shifts, you can too. Even worse is the amount of holidays the BMV takes off that aren't recognized by most other government jobs. The BMV is a necessity to keeping this world rolling, and the service is less than sufficient or operable in its current state. Ex. The BMV is closed on Saturday for Columbus day on Monday.. What makes the BMV exempt to do whatever they want? All we're asking is make the BMV open 7 days a week, 8 hours a day with as strict holidays as any other job. And it would also alleviate long wait times many experience across the nation at their local BMV.
