Millions of Americans spend their entire career in sales.  It’s a difficult, often thankless business, with long hours and exhausting pressure.  Making a sale is never guaranteed.  The majority of salespeople are paid on a commission basis which only happens when a sale is closed.  Their income is very dependent on the economy and the relationships they can build.  Those things are tougher now than they’ve ever been.  Because of that, hard working sales people deserve a day of recognition.

National Salesperson Day is established to recognize the value and hard work that salespeople put in.  The more they are valued the healthier they can be and the more respectful they can continue to be with clients.  Customers expect to be treated with respect, not as another name on a list, and sales people feel the same.

Business communication today is all about customer experience and creating connections between real human beings.  With nearly 6 million Americans working in formal sales roles and the majority of entry level jobs being customer facing, it’s time to recognize and appreciate the people who help keep our economy running.
