Nikki Miller started this petition to U.S. Senate

Undocumented immigrants need our support in their path to residency and/or citizenship. I am asking that you support these young individuals by supporting H.R. 6 American Dream and Promise Act of 2019. These individuals entered the country before the age of 18 years old and are now facing removal. This will separate them from their families and ultimately place them in a foreign country and society.

H.R. 6 American Dream and Promise Act of 2019 is sponsored by Representative Lucille Roybal-Allard. This act was introduced on March 3, 2019, and has been passed through the House of Representatives, meaning it now has to pass through Senate.

Being undocumented in this country brings forth numerous concerns for these children, including deficits in health and mental health care, education, and overall welfare (Benuto, Casas, Gonzalez, & Newlands, 2018).  Recently, the DACA executive order was ended by President Trump. This means that those who currently receive DACA are still eligible to renew, but no new applications are being accepted. Because of the overturn of this executive order, new policies are being introduced to bring back these freedoms and benefits to children who are still undocumented.

If anything, take the time to learn about local and state policies that impact you and your community!
