The Mental Health Reform Act of 2016 is a bill in the US Senate that is sitting in the Health, Education, Labor, and Pension committee since April 2016. S. 2680 is a bill that is to help combat youth suicide by creating a network of providers that can communicate, educate, and assess youth suicide.
Facts: 4,600 youths each year commits suicide which is one death every two hours! Youth suicide is also the second cause of death between the ages of 15 to 24 and the third cause of death between the ages of 10 to 14. Lastly, 157,000 youth go to the emergency room each year with injuries from attempted suicide.
Youth Suicide is preventable! Passing bill S. 2680 can help end youth suicide. Let the US Senate know you want this bill to pass!
