Our government was established in able to protect us, and it is failing. I am supposed to be able to hold a conversation with a police officer in order to help myself and others, but I cannot because of fear. My family and I cannot rely on local police for our safety. I wish for an America in which I feel trust with my government. 

     My Americans have a human need to feel safe within their own homes. We have a need to feel protected and heard. If we create a safe and just police system, I and every other person in America will have taken a step in the right direction to meeting our needs. We can walk down the street without the fear of being exiled. We can sleep in our living rooms without the fear of being shot. We can truly live     Today, I can not do those things. Today, I am not able to breathe freely in my home, my America.
