Delay the SCOTUS Nomination Until AFTER the 2020 Presidential Election

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg dedicated her entire life to the pursuit of justice in our country.  Her dying wish to her granddaughter was that she would not be replaced until a new President is installed - in honor of her great contributions to this country, we have a responsibility to protect her legacy.

Remembering her impact should be a NONpartisan issue.  Instead, Sen. McConnell has already moved ahead in using her death as a political tool to obtain an extreme court majority for his party, in an unprecedented timeframe before the November election.  McConnell refused to vote on Merrick Garland's nomination under Obama back in 2016 - now, not only is he eager to put another conservative in the SCOTUS, but he is trampling RBG's will mere minutes after her death.

It's a different type of crime that RBG's devastating passing has so quickly turned into a partisan battle.  McConnell clearly has no respect in her wishes, as he will go to any length in order to boost the reelection campaign and gain unchecked power for his party across the three branches.  Once a nominee is officially chosen by the POTUS (he has a shortlist) the Senate Judiciary Committee will procceed confirmation, which can continue to be delayed by committee members until after the election.  With your signatures, we can demand that senate committe members delay confirmation and/or refuse to vote well in advance.

We owe it to her, to ourselves, and to this country's remaining democracy to continue the fight for justice.  This is just the start, though.  Call your senators.  Vote.  If we all live just a little bit like she did, advocating for justice with every last breath, our country will transform.

"Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you." - Rest in Power, RBG.  We will make you proud.
