On 5/4/2021, the SBA/PPP ran out of funds leaving millions in distress and feeling helpless regarding the future of there businesses. Funds were exhausted weeks before the set deadline causing hundreds of thousands of eligible applications to be left behind and not get approved. This pandemic is not over, and businesses as well as independent workers are still struggling. More funds should be approved for SBA soon, as well as another set deadline for them. Many business owners are unsure about the financial future of there businesses and waiting to act or not doing so soon will create a bigger problem with this.

 Millions have lost their jobs already and over 100,000 businesses are permanently closed over the course of this pandemic. Without the proper help, another 100,000 or more could do the same in the coming future without PPP and SBA funding.

I’m asking congress to please continue funding for SBA/PPP loan applications immediately and help struggling businesses and the self employed get back on their feet during this crisis, preventing a larger future problem in the process.
