Victims of gun violence must rely on community or personal resources to receive mental health counseling following attacks or injury.  Victims include victims, family members and survivors who must cope with the aftermath of gun violence.  Current resources are limited, at best, or unavailable because they are unaffordable.  While the second amendment is upheld and gun ownership is lawful, there should be a responsible civic obligation to support victims of senseless gun violence funded through a mental health tax on gun sales.
