The Legislative branch of our government, both Congress and the Senate make the laws that we all have to abide by, the executive branch lead by the president, carries out and enforces those laws. Our Judicial branch makes ruling on all federal law and the interpretation of the constitution. 

  How do we the people, gain any advantage of having elected officials that have been convicted of any crime, serve within any of our government that writes, enforces, and rules on those laws? It should not matter what the charge is, we can not have the people who break our laws, write them. 

   By adding an amendment to our constitution, that bars criminals from serving in our government, we are safeguarding our welfare, our future, and putting forward a precedent that only those who are law-abiding and law respectful can serve or continue to serve in their elected positions.

  We can not afford to have our elected officials, committing criminal acts while they are charged with representing us, or those who have committed criminal acts ever being elected to a position to write, enforce or interpret the very laws they are breaking. Criminals are becoming the Police, the Judge, and the Prison Guard to the inmates, us the people.
