Michael Block started this petition to U.S. House of Representatives and

First let me apologize because i know this will be full of grammatical errors.

For far too long there has been no limit on how long a Congressman/Congresswoman or Senator can be in office. The longer someone sits in that position of power the more likely they are to be bought by special interest groups, amass gross weath and become generally stagnant. No politician should become millionaires by holding office. Too long have we Americans sat and watched adults, who are supposed to represent us, argue and bicker like unruly children soley based on what side of the isle they are sitting on. They cannot argee on anything but what raise they will receive while the country falls apart around them.

The annual salary of a rank-and-file Member of Congress is $174,000. Congressional leaders earn more since they have additional responsibilities. The Speaker of the House receives $223,500 annually, and the Senate President pro tempore receives $193,400.Feb 21, 2019

Members also get allowances to pay their staff and cover office and travel expenses. Senators’ average allowance is $3,306,570, while representatives’ is typically $900,000. Congressmen are also able to deduct $3,000 a year for the living expenses they accrue while they’re away from their home states or congressional districts.

The average full-time American worker earns an annual salary of $44,720, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.Oct 11, 2018

This is ridiculous. If they want to make money then do it in the private sector not as our elected officials which in my opinion should be treated as a normal person would expect jury duty. Not to mention kick backs and off the book income recieved from lobbyists. The irs should be all over them for that alone.

There should be a salary cap and shorter time frame for an election campaign. A salary cap would keep elections fair. As things stand now you have to be a millionaire to afford to run for office or take money from those seeking special interests in return for their investment. A smaller time frame would eliminate the poll swing smear campaigns we see every election. What people don't know about these polls is that they are usually not the 1st ones.  What happens is a party pays a company to take the polls and if the numbers are not in their favor they then scrap them, run a smear campaign against the other runners, boost their positive "propaganda" and take the polls again and again until they have the numbers they want. This are the polls that the main stream media like to wave around.

We are witnessing their true colors now. As Americans are being laid off due to a pandemic and the economy crashes what do our elected officials do? They try to slide in things that have nothing to do with Corona Virus. They give themselves raises. Some of these Congressman/Congresswoman have been in office OVER 30 YEARS and have been padding their pockets this whole time.

Last but not least dissolving the political party system. Lincoln said it "a house divided can not stand". Watch the state of the union address for the past 20-30 years and tell me they are not divided. They are no different then the crips and the bloods in thousand dollar suits. They will cover up for pedophiles, rapist and murderers as long as they wear the same colors. Blue or red.

Enough is enough.

In conclusion what I'm hoping what will happen is that we review what is wrong and fix it. Term limits and lowered salaries. Stricter watch on where the extra money is coming from and from whom. How lobbying is legal is beyond me. Total absolute reform. All power corrupts eventually.
