Donald Trump has recently signed an executive order to ban TikTok because he claims that this APP is stealing U.S. citizens’ personal info which the Chinese Communist Party is supposedly doing. The White House says TikTok is a part of Chinese espionage. The President said if an American company claims ownership for the app by September 16th it will not be entirely banned. Could this be just a perilous game or another cold war between American and Chinese? Maybe. Maybe not. TikTok has had thoughts of suing the Trump administration and is preparing a lawsuit to challenge the executive order. The House of Representatives and Senate have banned the app on government issued phones. Microsoft had discussed with ByteDance to be a part of TikTok, but they refused to say and put on the executive order. Bill Gates did not like the idea of buying TikTok either. If a company like Microsoft, Walmart, Oracle, or Twitter owns it, there will be less of a problem since these are American companies. I am here to say I am for TIKTOK in the US for a number of reasons especially during this COVID-19 crisis.

As U.S. citizens are struggling to beat their boredom especially due to COVID-19, we would like for this application to not be discontinued because this has been, and is still an app that has helped people to digitally share funny videos and interact in other ways. It is a form of socialization. 

There have been a lot of people who have gotten recognition from the content that they have created, thus resulting them in making money off of the app as it was a career to them. In other words, it increases and make people creative. 

This app has also been considered a source of entertainment. Many people post funny videos and humor is the best medicine! 

It is also a source of income for some, especially for superstars like Charli D'Amelio, Dixie D'Amelio, Addison Rae, Tony Lopez, and Lil Huddy.
