Everyone knows our anthem sucks, and it's time we, as Americans, make sure our national anthem is both beloved and patriotic, and singable and unitary.

John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads" is the perfect said alternate anthem. Insationably American, proudly patriotic, and unitary in its folk style, it is time for us to take our own country, to the place where this song belongs, at the beginning of every sports game and political speech in America!
