Now more than ever, Gen Z is actively involved in politics, both local and national. The young people of this country have proven in recent months that they are more than fit to take on the responsibility that is voting in all elections. On social media, teens have been posting and pleading their over 18 followers to vote. They have been educating others on how to take action and stand up for things they believe in. This is not a partisan issue. People in this country have fought since the beginning to have their voices heard, and it is clear that teenagers are doing the same. Giving 16 and 17-year-olds  the right to vote is a step in the direction of change, which this country has proven to need in the past months. We are looking for the support of 290 representatives in the U.S. House of Representatives, and 67 U.S Senators to propose an amendment to the constitution that allows teenagers between the ages of 16 and 18 the right to finally be able to cast a vote in elections that will affect their lives until they die. We believe that getting signatures on this petition may get the attention of the Representatives and Senators that we need to take this petition seriously. Ideally in effect by the election of 2024, this amendment would need to be ratified by 34 of the U.S. states.

Please sign this petition to give Gen Z the rights they have been asking for, to influence the decisions that ultimately impact their lives and the lives of their children.
