Samuel Perez started this petition to U.S. House of Representatives and

Lysergic acid diethylamide, also known as LSD or acid, is a psychedelic drug. It was made illegal in the 1960s. But why is LSD illegal? It's not toxic, you can't overdose and it's not addictive. With its rise of recreational use, irrational fears developed, causing it to be criminalised.

When used as a recreational drug, users often times report having a permanent changed insight of the world. Common themes among this is an increased appreciation and awareness.

A friend once told me "LSD really taught me to appreciate what and who I have in life. I have reconnected with so many old friends, and put down so many bad habits, it's unreal."

Medically, LSD has been proven to help with curing alcoholism, migraines, cluster headaches along with it having many other psychiatric uses.

If LSD was legal it would only be beneficial to everybody. The community of LSD users would save a significant amount of money if it was able to be sold in stores. Not only that, but with legalisation would add millions of dollars to the economy every year. There would be more money to spend on things like education, libraries, roads, etc.
