For far too long has the government abused its ability to spy on American citizens. From the CIA to the NSA, everyday Americans are having their civil liberties trampled on and their right to privacy tossed out the window.
This is a problem that transcends party lines, however, it became noticeably worse during the Obama administration.
A 4-page memo detailing surveillance abuses by FISA has been released to Congress. They are shocked and appalled at what they have uncovered:
“It is so alarming the American people have to see this,” Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan said.
“It's troubling. It is shocking,” North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows said. “Part of me wishes that I didn't read it because I don’t want to believe that those kinds of things could be happening in this country that I call home and love so much.”
For the sake of transparency, and as a sign that we as Americans will no longer tolerate abusive, politically motivated, possibly illegal surveillance practices, we MUST secure the release of the FISA memo as soon as possible.
