It’s been far to long to not have a whole month dedicated to the veterans of America. I feel the support of our past and active military has been steadily declining, these people have seen and experienced horrors beyond our comprehension. I don’t understand how the LGBTQ community can have a whole month dedicated to them but not our own veterans. I feel the veterans of America should be more of a priority over the LGBTQ community since without those veterans the freedom of being a part of that community would be nonexistent. Nothing in this great country would be possible without those who has sacrificed everything to protect the freedoms we have. Those amazing people have stopped atrocious, those people have been pardon my language through quite literally hell on Earth, and yet their deeds and experience has been all but ignored. It’s about time they get a month dedicated to them as they protect the freedoms we have, to be who we want and live the lives we want to. All of those freedoms we wouldn’t have if not for them. I think May would be the best month for this as it already has Memorial Day instead of taking that one day to remember those we’ve lost protecting this country why not take the whole month to remember those who’s served and those of whom died protecting this great country.
