I just read that as a teen over 16 and being a dependent my parent or I will not get a part of the stimulus. After reading more I’ve learned that many 17-24 year olds were not included in the stimulus bill which isn’t fair. Just because we are dependents we will not get a check and because of our ages we will not get a check. Also, if an person is an adult with disabilities and is a dependent they do not get any part of the stimulus. This is not fair on so many levels it seems like the government is saying that we don’t count or matter in this instance, but it is the same government that solicits the vote of the young people in this category or the older people and people who are able to vote. Our politicians are treating us unfairly especially in a time where we have lost proms, graduations and other activities to celebrate our milestones. In a time where our families have lost money paying for these things and being laid off of their jobs. In a time where we are as youth have lost our little jobs that would help out. Our government is saying we don’t count this is unfair and unjust to us. As a person who is affected by this decision to exclude us we need to speak out and make our voices heard. We count you want our vote but don’t want to treat us as we count.
