Fair wages for all able working Americans.

Fair wages for all able working Americans.

With minimum wage discussions at a standstill in Congress, I think it’s time the members of the U.S Congress, Senate, and House of Representatives knew just how important it is to make effective decisions on time. To achieve that, all members of the U.S Senate, Congress, Governors, House of Representatives, etc. Should get paid the minimum wage and should be eligible for all federal assistance. By doing this, they will be able to (1) advise the American people if $15/hr is a livable wage in our current economy, (2) to know how important it is to make financial decisions for the American people promptly, (3) know how important it is to make government assistance accessible for hard-working Americans who are struggling to effectively support Their family needs, (4) to understand the realistic and daily financial decisions the hard-working American families have to make when earning this wage, and (5) to gain empathy through experiencing the consistent sacrifices and compromises the American people take when attempting to make ends meet. While I am one of the lucky few who no longer make minimum wage, I am still close to many individuals working at least two full-time jobs but still can not make ends meet nor qualify for government assistance. With that being said, if at least 25% of the American people support this stance, then it should be placed on the ballot for the American people to vote for the above mentioned government officials to receive minimum wage.
